Capcom has announced a special event to commemorate the Street Fighter V launch, involving musician Lupe Fiasco.
The rapper and entrepeneur will be facing no less than the Beast, Daigo Umehara, in a special exhibition match. The two set up this meeting after a week of going back and forth on Twitter. Daigo seems to have had the last word in this exchange, as you can see below:

They will be facing at the US Street Fighter V Launch event, to be held at the Folsom Street Foundry in Folsom St, CA. They have scheduled the event as follows:
5:00PM – 9:00 PM
- VIP and Press Admission Only
6:00PM~7:45PM
- Undercard Exhibitions
7:45PM – 8:15PM
- Lupe VS Daigo Exhibition
9:00PM – Midnight
- General Admission
While only the first fifty fans who show up for the event will be allowed in for the VIP and press admission only portions, including the Lupe vs Daigo matches, Capcom will be streaming the entirety of this portion on Twitch, so no one has to miss out.
Afterwards, Lupe and Daigo will move on over to Gamestop Market Street, in Market Street, San Francisco, CA, to participate in the midnight launch. They will be in attendance from 8:30 to 10 PM, and will personally hand out the first copies to eager buyers from 9 PM onwards.
Street Fighter V will be released on February 16, 2016, on PlayStation 4, Windows, and Linux. We shared the full trophy list for PlayStation 4, confirmed the PlayStation 4 version will work with PlayStation 3 controllers. Capcom revealed outfits for the combatants in Story Mode, and that some unlockable costumes will be placed behind a paywall.
