BioWare Teases Dragon Age Coloring Book

Feb 12, 2016 Olga Lexell

The company has made children of us all.

BioWare, Dragon Age: Inquisition

Get ready to release your inner child. Today, BioWare made a special announcement on Twitter: the company turned three piece of concept art into coloring pages for fans to print out and use.

“Grab your colored pencils and color some concept art from #DAI,” reads the tweet. These coloring pages are a pretty unique and awesome way of re-purposing concept art and engaging fans in a game franchise. Overall, fans on Twitter seemed to respond with enthusiasm, especially since BioWare promised to retweet some of their favorite coloring page pieces from those who put theirs up online.

Looks like sometimes fans don’t care about fancy swag and DLCs and all it takes to make them happy are some quality coloring pages. BioWare has a history of engaging their players in fun, artistic ways; last July, for example, the company started up a competition to get fans to design items such as amulets, rings, and other accessories for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

BioWare is in the midst of a strange period. Back in November, Mass Effect 1 and 2‘s lead writer returned to the company. In January, the company lost some prominent members when Mass Effect Andromeda‘s senior development director and Dragon Age‘s writer both left BioWare. But despite these shakeups, the company remains stable in the eyes of its fans, which is admirable when compared to the goings-on at a company like Bungie.

Dragon Age: Inquisition has been out since November 18, 2014, for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Mass Effect Andromeda drops December 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
