Minecraft has been one of the biggest, most addicting games to be released over the last few years. Now that the final version is being released we’re being given yet another Minecraft treat. Minecraft Pocket Edition was released this week for iOS. While Minecraft Pocket Edition was already available for Android and Xperia users, those of us who rock the Apple devices can finally get in on the action.
Minecraft Pocket Edition will run you $6.99 and is a whopping 2.9 MB. This particular version of Minecraft only contains the creative mode, although you can still play with friends when you’re all on the same wireless network. Never fear though, survival mode is on it’s way. “I know a lot of people are waiting for Survival mode and so am I. We need to tweak and rebalance a lot of stuff before we feel confident about releasing mobs and what-nots.†said Mojang representative, Daniel Kaplan.
We’ve got Skyrim out, Saints Row The Third came out Tuesday, and now we have Minecraft Pocket Edition being released. Apparently videogames just really want me to fail this semester. $7 also feels a little much for just creative mode considering how many great $1 games there are out there for the iOS. I may have to wait on this one to spare my grades and bank account any more harm. Don’t get me wrong I want to have this game super bad, but sometimes you just have to know when to stop for a bit.
