Today Telltale Games has announced new details surrounding the upcoming miniseries The Walking Dead: Michonne. This three part series, which depicts a period in Michonne’s life not covered by either the comic book or the TV series, is set to debut later this month, with follow up chapters in the months to follow.
In their press release Telltale states that the first, entitled In Too Deep, will launch on February 23. This premiere episode will explore Michonne’s time sailing on The Companion and her adventures with floating survivor colony of Monroe. The second, Give No Shelter, will release in March, and the third, What We Deserve, will come out in April.
As we previously reported, this miniseries will close a mysterious gap in Michonne’s life, the spot between the comics #126-#139. It is hinted that these three episodes will tie up her story’s loose ends and bridge the two together. The character will not be voiced the actress that portrays her in The Walking Dead AMC TV series, Danai Gurira, but rather, Orange Is The New Black star Samira Wiley.
Fans are invited to get an extended sneak preview of the game on YouTube this weekend, where the development team will stream the first five minutes of In Too Deep.
