When Does Dead Space Remake Release?

September 2, 2022 by Dennis Patrick

When does this game drop?

Dead Space is an iconic survival horror franchise. For years we’ve seen fans hold this IP up in the limelight despite EA dropping the franchise. However, after fans pleas for this franchise to get a new resurgence, EA finally delivered. So we’re now getting ready to dive into the Dead Space franchise all over again. Although, this next video game installment is not a continuation. Instead, fans of the franchise will find Dead Space is getting a remake.

With the remake, fans will get a massive overhaul in terms of the game mechanics and visuals. So even if you’re a veteran fan who played the initial release back in 2008, this should hopefully feel like a new experience. Likewise, if you happened to miss out on the initial release, then this will hopefully give you just as thrilling of experience as those veteran fans had over a decade ago.

Although, you will want to make note that this is a mature survival horror video game. As a result, there will be quite a bit of blood, gore, intense violence, and strong language. So prepare for a terrifying experience as you navigate your way through the campaign narrative.

When Does Dead Space Remake Release?

If you want to get your hands on the upcoming Dead Space remake, then you don’t have too long of a wait to endure. At the current moment of writing this article, it looks as if we can mark our calendars for January 27, 2023. That will be the day when Dead Space will officially launch into the marketplace. So you can start the new year out with an iconic survival horror IP release. This, of course, wasn’t the initially planned date for Dead Space.

After unveiling the game during EA’s Play Live 2021 stream, there was the hope of seeing Dead Space come out into the marketplace within 2022. Purely out of speculation, the developers likely intended to see the game out in time for the October Halloween season. But that ultimately didn’t happen as the development team over at Motive Studio had to push the game back.

Again, we’re looking at early 2023 before we’ll finally get our hands on the game. Despite this new date, there’s always the chance we’ll see this game delayed again. In that case, we’ll update this post with new information. With that said, if you have your calendars marked, then you’ll want to make sure you have one of the supported platforms this game will release on.

Dead Space is set to launch for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles along with the PC platform. Unfortunately, it looks like EA won’t be bringing this game out for last-generation console owners. This might be a shame as it can still be difficult to secure a new console, so keep an eye out for those restock notifications. In the meantime, you can check out the game trailer down below.
