Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Awakening Gauntlet & Rise Maps Preview

February 1, 2016 by Ryan Parreno

Activision has shared previews for the Gauntlet and Rise Maps from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s 1st DLC pack Awakening.

Activision has shared previews for the Gauntlet and Rise Maps from Call of Duty: Black Ops 3‘s 1st DLC  pack Awakening.

You can read the previews and get a sneak peek at each map via trailer below.

This is the largest map from this DLC pack. Rise is set in Coalescence corporation’s building, out in snowy Zurich. The map design favors players that use cover to their advantage.

Gauntlet is a military training facility that combines three very different environments. In the same map, you can move across a sprawling jungle, a sub-zero snow covered area, and a rainy cityscape.  The Gauntlet map is buit on Treyarch’s characteristic three lane format.

As you can see, Treyarch does not disappoint when it comes to visual quality and map design.

Are you still playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3? Are you looking forward to playing the upcoming DLC? Share your thoughts with us on this year’s Call of Duty in the comments.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Awakening will be released on PlayStation 4 on February 2, and on Xbox One and Windows on March 2.
