The Punisher is coming back to Hell’s Kitchen! This is a moment many of us have been waiting for since this hit Netflix show was canceled and just recently moved to Disney+. It has been announced by trusted sources that Jon Bernthal is officially on board for returning in The Marvel Cinematic Universe. While we are sure he will have his own projects in short, as well as cameos, and maybe even being a part of Thunderbolts, but for now Bernthal will be appearing in the upcoming Daredevil series Daredevil: Born Again.
Around November last year, rumors started about Jon Bernthal returning as the Punisher but there was conflict for a bit with whether or not Disney+ should offer mature content on its streaming platform or not. The service now offers all The Defenders shows, including The Punisher‘s two seasons, and now has other R-rated content like Wolverine’s Logan and both the Deadpool movies. Not to mention that Moon Knight also fits into the category of having the same feel and content of the other Marvel’s series shows. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also touches on this and has a rather dark feel to it. Parents don’t worry! There are parental settings that can be changed to assure the safety of your children.
The biggest question that many of us are wondering is how will The Punisher change in his return after his latest comics. The iconic pieces of the Punisher, like his skull logo has been changed and many of us wonder if he will have the redesigned logo in his appearances in the future. Although, Frank Castle really didn’t wear its signature skull much at all in his series or in Daredevil, so maybe we won’t even see the new logo much either.
