Sniper Elite 5 Drops Its First DLC Today

July 26, 2022 by Alexandra Nicholson

New content includes a free multiplayer map for all players.

New content is now available for Sniper Elite 5. The first post-release DLC for the successful shooter game introduces a new mission and weapons pack into the game, alongside a brand new multiplayer map that’s free to all players.

The new ‘Landing Force’ content goes live today on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC and features the Landing Force mission as its signature component. In this challenging new mission, players will need to make use of their stealth and sniper skills as they try to get inside a heavily-guarded gun battery buried in the mountainside. The action takes place on a huge island off the coast of Marseille, which just so happens to be absolutely crawling with Nazis. Players will need to get in and destroy the huge gun structures in order to chalk up a win for the Allies.

The new mission was showcased in a reveal trailer shared by Rebellion Developments earlier today. Check it out right here for a look at the new content and some of the special weapons that players can get their hands on to help them complete their objectives.

While the Landing Force DLC is available to purchase as a standalone expansion pack for $14.99, players can also get it as a bundle as part of Season Pass One for $34.99. Season One will introduce another three further content expansions, with Landing Force being the first of a planned four post-launch DLC releases.

However, Rebellion Developments has also thrown in a pretty enticing freebie for all Sniper Elite 5 players with the Flooded Village multiplayer map. Inspired by Normandy during the D-Day landings, it’s a brand new map that raises the challenge level for those taking part in solo or team-based multiplayer games. It is available now in all multiplayer modes, including No Cross, via the latest title update.

You can check out the Sniper Elite 5 blog for full details on the new DLC and the patch notes for today’s main title update.
