The Battlefield 3 beta got a lot of attention, some of it positive, some of it negative. It proved without a doubt that there's no such thing as bad publicity though because you could literally not visit a single video game related website without seeing some mention of DICE's upcoming shooter.
The graphic above fills in a few of the statistics, the most impressive being that 8,125,310 players got into the beta. If even a quarter of those people decide to go and buy the game in its first week, that's going to be a fairly impressive launch.
But it's not just the sheer amount of players playing that is impressive, but the amount they've been playing as well. 1.5 billion kills were registered, although in all fairness I think a good deal of those kills resulted in me swearing and shouting at the TV.
And to top it all off, it's only a week until the American launch of the game. Batman should keep you going until then, right?
