Think your rig is set up to give you the best Battlefield 3 experience possible? Think again. Sure, your Crossfired 6950s might be packing some horsepower, but I'm fairly certain the folks at British TV program The Gadget Show have you beat.
They've assembled a team of design experts and over $650,000 worth of tech to create the ultimate Battlefield 3 experience, and the outcome is nothing short of astonishing. The room-sized setup lets you move by walking on an omni-directional treadmill, aim and shoot with a wireless gun, and feel enemy bullets through use of 12 paintball markers.
In short, you're not playing the game so much as living it, acting things out in the real world and getting feedback from the game. It's like Kinect on steriods. It's something that has to been seen to be believed, but be careful. If you watch this video, there's a good chance you'll start to resent your keyboard and mouse for being so damn boring.
If you're in the UK, you can catch the full segment when The Gadget Show premieres on Channel 5 at 8pm on October 25.
