July 14, 2022 by John McDonald

The last FIFA of its kind.

Loyal fans of the series will be happy to hear that some leaked FIFA 23 details have appeared online. The game’s reveal seems to be just around the corner, just as the first screenshot and some closed beta details for the Xbox Series X|S have started to do the rounds.

You may well be aware that this installment will be the last FIFA game made by EA Sports. FIFA has previously talked about how it is actively searching for the “perfect partner” that will move the future of the game in the right direction. The news was a hard pill to swallow for loyal fans who have consistently been purchasing EA’s version of the game for 30 years.

Until EA come out and reveal any official news, these leaks are as good as it gets. These leaks come from a loyal Microsoft leaker who goes by the Twitter name of Aggiornamenti Lumia_. These released FIFA 23 details reveal that the closed beta for the game has been added to the Xbox database along with an official file size too. They have been confirmed as 38.85GB for Xbox Series X|S and 37.31GB on the Xbox One platform.

The leaker has also revealed some cover art for the close beta which shows a certain Kylian Mbappe as the star on the front – you can see the cover art below via the leaker’s tweet. Mbappe is one of the stars of the sport, and it is also rumored that the Paris Saint-Germain striker will be the highest-rated player in the game, a stat that will undoubtedly cause some controversy.

And finally, an interesting screenshot has been released that shows some Man City players celebrating a goal. Oh, and who’s that at the front? Yes, it’s the new signing, Erling Haaland – City fans will surely be happy to see him like this. You can see the image above. We’re sure an announcement will be just around the corner regarding this game, so you had best keep an eye out for it.
