In the past six years I’ve spent reporting video game news, it’s never not been a joke that games journalists are just bloggers who post a lot of Mario cakes. And yet, I can’t help but admire the Mario cake to end all Mario cakes: this ambitious stop motion animation version depicting our titular hero making a run through Level 1-1 in the original Super Mario Bros. game.
