Destiny Matchmaking Updates Tested In Iron Banner, At 2nd Round Of Updates Now

January 29, 2016 by Ryan Parreno

Bungie reports the first test showed improvements across the board.

Bungie is in the process of deploying and field testing matchmaking updates in Destiny.

Bungie already explained they would be putting up these changes in Iron Banner, and that they would be looking for feedback. What they’ve heard so far is that lag is actually going down. Matchmaking takes less than a minute on average and matchups are fair enough for Iron Banner events.

Another update has already been deployed to Iron Banner for testing. Bungie says you should expect wider skill range in matchups, although it should still be “within the boundaries of a good game”. Matchmaking should also take just a little longer.

Have you been in Iron Banner lately? How do you feel about the changes? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
