Rumor: Destiny Ammo Microtransactions Really Are Finally Coming

January 25, 2016 by Ryan Parreno

The most likely candidate for this are the Heavy Ammo Synthesis, which currently can only be earned in play.

The rumor that Bungie is planning to sell ammo as microtransactions in Destiny has once again reared its ugly head.

Several sources confirm with our source, and claim once again that it is on the way. This rumor has persisted since early last year, and it’s possible that Bungie really has had this planned for some time but has kept delaying it for the right moment.

Our source also points out the likeliest ammo type to be made available via microtransactions is Heavy Ammo Synthesis. This ammo type is needed for raiding and other high level PvE activities, but currently cannot be purchased directly.

In fact, there are only three ways to buy Heavy Ammo Synthesis:

·         From Banshee-44 for 950 Glimmer

·         From Xur in packs of three in exchange for one Strange Coin

·         From Variks for 250 Glimmer and one pack of Ether Seeds

So, we doubt you would personally be OK if Bungie did introduce this, but level with us; would you take the bait and buy Heavy Ammo Synthesis? Do you think there will be enough gamers that will do this that everyone will do it? Let us get serious and talk about this in the comments.
