Sega of America has revealed the Sega 3D Classics Collection. If you haven’t bought any of the Sega 3D Classics until now, this is the way to buy them.
Included in the collection are these games, which were already previously released in the eShop:
· Fantasy Zone II W (System- 16 arcade board upgrade)
· Sonic The Hedgehog
· Thunder Blade
· Galaxy Force II (double the resolution of the original)
· Altered Beast (with local co-op multiplayer)
Also included are these two games, which have not been released outside Japan:
· Power Drift
· Puyo Puyo 2
Lastly, these two games are debuting in the anthology for the first time:
· Maze Walker
· Fantasy Zone II: The Tears of Opa-Opa
These games run the gamut of Sega video game systems and eras, including arcades. Maze Walker itself used SegaScope 3D glasses, and Puyo Puyo 2 isn’t localized because it’s hardcoded in Japanese (Sega included an English manual).
As you may already know, all these games received the remastered treatment, in some cases improving on what the original versions had to offer, in terms of scrolling, visual effects, performance, etc. Of course, all games are also playable in 3D, and where multiplayer is available, Download Play (play with multiple 3DSes using only one copy).
To cap it off, Sega 3D Classics Collection features a cover with artwork from Pokemon designer Ken Sugimori.
Sega 3D Classics Collection will be released on April 26 for $ 29.99. Are you looking forward to this anthology? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
