Bungie may be preparing a new PvP Crucible mode for Destiny.
Designer Lars Bakken was recently spotted by NeoGAF when playing a private test build of a new mode called Crimson Doubles. These test builds are typically undertaken in order to ensure that everything's working correctly before a public rollout.
The new mode may be available as part of the February update for the game and it seems likely it's some kind of double teams mode with Valentine's Day in mind.
Another upcoming Destiny event seems to be called 'The Dawning' and will take place on Mercury. That event will include new quests and masks, in a similar fashion to Destiny's Halloween celebration last year.
