Felix 'PewDiePie' Kjellberg has launched Revelmode, a new online creator network in conjunction with Disney's Maker Studios.
The network will feature PewDiePie and other gaming-and-pop-culture-focused YouTubers, with a range of original shows, games, merchandise, commerical partnerships, and philanthropic opportunities, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
PewDiePie and Maker are said to be carefully choosing and incubating talent for the Revelmode Network. Some of those involved are horror gamer Ken Morrison, aka CinnamonToastKen, fashion and beauty expert Marzia Bisognin, aka CutiePieMarzia, and actor and comedian Mark Fischbach, aka Markiplier.
“I started as a gaming and digital content fan long before making this a profession," PewDiePie commented. "I have seen many challenges and successes in growing a brand and authentically communicating with an audience, and wanted to take what I’ve learned and create something unique. The idea of Revelmode was built from my own experiences and will aim to bring together an Avengers-like talent squad to work and grow a business together."
Revelmode content will be available on its website and via YouTube.
"We're thrilled to be doubling down with Felix," Maker executive vp Courtney Holt said. "He is an amazing talent, a great partner, and the pulse of millennial pop culture. We firmly believe in his vision for Revelmode and his chosen creators — we can't wait to see the possibilities ahead."
The network's first content will be an animated series featuring Revelmode's talent, which aims to raise money for good causes, including Charity: Water and Save the Children.
