Sony has released a new trailer for the upcoming Ratchet and Clank. The trailer shows off familiar characters Ratchet, Clank, and Captain Qwark. There’s also snippets of the venerable duo fighting through the typical mayhem with an assortment of wacky weapons.
Ratchet and Clank is a reimagining of the original 2002 PlayStation 2 title, and also based on the upcoming movie. The trailer sums up this odd inspiration succinctly: “Play the game, based on the movie, based on the game.”
Ratchet and Clank was originally announced at E3 2014. Insomniac Games’ California and North Carolina studios are both working on the project. The game was supposed to launch last year, but was instead delayed to coincide with the movie’s release. Check out how the game looks on PS4 as compared to PS2.
The game will release in France on April 15, 2016 and the rest of the PAL region on April 20, 2016. There’s no solid release date other than Spring for North America.
