According to two online listings, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting an Enhanced Edition as soon as next month. A NeoGAF user spotted the first listing on French retailer E.Leclerc’s site, and IGN has reported a second listing on the SmartToys website. Both list a February 5 release date.
While CD Projekt Red hasn’t formally announced an enhanced edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt yet, the developer/publisher has done so for both prior games in the series. Many have speculated that the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Enhanced Edition launch will coincide with the release of the second expansion pack, Blood and Wine. CD Projekt hasn’t announced a formal release date for the expansion either, but said it would come early in 2016. We learned some details about the expansion pack’s story and setting late last year.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launched last May to critical acclaim. The second expansion pack released to a more lukewarm reception. Still, the base game won several game of the year awards at the end of 2015, including at The Game Awards and from Gameranx.
