According to cracking group 3DM, pirated games are soon to be an obsolete concept. The group expressed some worries over cracking Just Cause 3’s anti-tamper protection. 3DM member Bird Sister admitted that while the group will eventually be able to crack Just Cause 3, they are worried about the future of encryption technology in gaming.
Anti-tampering measures help protect digital content, but not everyone thinks they are effective. Many people take the stance that if someone wants to pirate a game, they’ll find a way to do it regardless of whether it’s protected.
What we do know for sure is that games piracy is likely to continue to be a major issue this year as developers try to protect their content.
