Square Enix game director Hajime Tabata has revealed that the studio will be able to confirm an exact release date for the upcoming Final Fantasy XV. Speaking in the latest issue of Famitsu, the developer stated that gamers should look forward to March to find out when the game will come out.
"This year is the year we'll release Final Fantasy XV," Tabata said (via NovaCrystallis). "Currently, we've decided on all of its specifications and the beta version is under production so we can shift into the debug phase."
"We'll show the real XV during the release date announcement this March," he promised.
A survey released by the publisher to Japanese gamers hinted at the possibility of a Summer 2016 release date for the game.
The developers have also announced plans to disclose more details about the upcoming title in their next installment of their Active Time Report bulletin, which is scheduled to take place later in January.
The studio recently wished fans a happy new year.
