Killer Instinct Season 3 is definitely coming to Windows 10. Now, here’s a mild shocker; it’s exclusive to Windows 10.
While it is possible later versions of Killer Instinct will come to Xbox One, it’s an interesting move seemingly calculated to entice fighting game fans to get Windows 10 for their fighting game PCs. They can certainly make a solid case for it, since most PC fighting games, although they are all on Steam, are mostly on Windows. This includes Street Fighter V, which is also coming to SteamOS.
In fact, between Street Fighter, Killer Instinct, Guilty Gear, Skullgirls, and many others, PC is shaping up to be a solid fighting game platform. More major fighting games are now on PC than are not.
Aside from these announcements, Microsoft also confirmed these details on a livestream:
· There will be a Dojo Tutorial mode
· Tusk and Kim Wu will return, with their retro costumes
· There will be more characters at launch than when Season 2 launched
· Because of the new features and mechanics, all the characters are getting rebalanced
· Two characters in particular are going to be reworked completely
· Thanks to the success of the Shadow Jago Fund Raiser, more community bundles are coming
· Microsoft will reveal more details at PAX South, which will be held in San Antonio, TX, January 29 to 31
