There was speculation about the fate of Metal Gear Online after Konami announced the closure of Kojima Productions LA Studio. Despite both that shut down and Hideo Kojima recently departing and forming a new studio in collaboration with Sony, it seems Metal Gear Online will continue.
Hideo Kojima left Konami earlier this month, and immediately signed a new deal with Sony to form a new studio, also called Kojima Productions. Don’t expect to hear anything about one of the biggest and most drawn out news stories of the year, however, as Kojima is contractually forbidden to talk about Konami.
