Metal Gear Online Is Getting More DLC

December 28, 2015 by Carlos Chism

The closure of Kojima Productions won’t stop further multiplayer support.

Konami has announced that Metal Gear Online, the multiplayer companion for Metal Gear Solid V, will continue. The company announced new maps via the game’s official Twitter account. Survival mode and more new content will be unveiled at a later date.

There was speculation about the fate of Metal Gear Online after Konami announced the closure of Kojima Productions LA Studio. Despite both that shut down and Hideo Kojima recently departing and forming a new studio in collaboration with Sony, it seems Metal Gear Online will continue.

Hideo Kojima left Konami earlier this month, and immediately signed a new deal with Sony to form a new studio, also called Kojima Productions. Don’t expect to hear anything about one of the biggest and most drawn out news stories of the year, however, as Kojima is contractually forbidden to talk about Konami.
