Social media site Twitter has hired its first director of gaming, Rodrigo Velloso from YouTube.
Velloso was YouTube's former director of gaming content while at Google and began working as Twitter's director of gaming partnerships in September.
"My entire career at Google revolved around content partnerships," Velloso commented in a Variety report. "I want to work with content creators and give them the tools, or in some cases build them the tools, to allow them to produce the best content."
Velloso was involved with Twitter's Game Awards partnership, helping the site prepare for the event, and making sure they were able to cover events as they unfolded, with special tools developed to promote the event.
Velloso's plans aren't clear, but he's tweeting a lot about games on his timeline.
