Telltale have announced that Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 4, “A Block and a Hard Place,” will digitally launch worldwide on Tuesday, December 22. It will be available on PC from Steam and other digital distribution services, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore. Additionally, the season premiere is now available on the Windows 10 store.
The fourth episode, titled “A Block and a Hard Place,” features the “Wither Storm Finale,” which will wrap up a major part of the story, titled the “Wither Storm Saga." During the episode, Jesse, Reuben, and the Order of the Stone will have to travel through the perilous Farlands to put an end to the Wither storm. According to a statement from Telltale, the Wither Storm Finale will “turn the page on one chapter before adventures begin anew in the mysterious Episode Five launching in early 2016.”
The game has enjoyed a steady release schedule ever since the first episode launched in September, which is unusual for Telltale, whose releases are usually sporadic, with long waits in between. The company teased the announce date for the fourth episode recently. The game was originally announced last year.
The trailer, seen below, is titled “Wither Storm Finale,” not to be confused with the episode’s title, “A Block and A Hard Place.”
Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 4, "Between a Block and a Hard Place" will release on Tuesday, December 22, for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, iOS, and Google Play.
