Iron Banner is Returning to Destiny This Month

December 16, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Prepare to fight.

Iron Banner is coming back to Destiny, Bungie has announced.

Iron Banner, for those not in the know, is the game's special Crucible mode that takes the strength of player weapons and armor into account. You can read our guide to the Iron Banner here.

You'll need to be level 40 to take part in the event, and you're advised to have high light levels, as the mode takes that into account.

The studio announced that Iron Banner will be coming back to Destiny on December 29, the same day that the SRL (Sparrow Racing League) event ends. This will provide players the opportunity to get right into a new event without having to wait for weeks.

Bungie says that they will announce new gear for Iron Banner in the coming days, so players who got everything out of the previous event will have something to look forward to again.

Recently, Destiny was updated with a host of balance changes and the addition of the SRL. The last Iron Banner event took place in November.
