Pokken Tournament Adds The Vicious Sceptile, Farfetch’d, Electrode

December 10, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Sceptile makes up for his lack of speed with range and a very visual mean streak.

Bandai Namco has revealed the latest entrants to Pokken Tournament, and you may be surprised by how much you’ll like this.

First off, the latest playable character is Sceptile, and he looks remarkably impressive. He may not be the fastest fighter, but he more than makes up for it with several ranged attacks, and a propensity for staggering strikes.

Sceptile’s moves also have a remarkable viciousness to them, which would make Bryan Fury proud. Keep an eye out for his Leaf Frenzy, which lives up to how its power is depicted in the main Pokemon games.

Also confirmed were Farfetch’d, leafy green on hand, and Electrode, both as support Pokemon. Farfetch’d hits enemies with his leek rapidly, humorously, and effecitively. Electrode literally lights up the screen when he shows up.

Pokken Tournament is scheduled to launch for Wii U in Japan on March 18, 2016, and Spring 2016 for the US and Europe. Check out the short but sweet trailer above.
