Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be one of the biggest games of 2016. Sony unveiled a new trailer for the game today at PlayStation Experience (PSX) 2015. The trailer is a cutscene from the upcoming game where Nate’s brother, Sam, comes to find him. Nate thought his brother was dead, and they begin to catch up on everything that has happened since they last saw each other. The cutscene also showed that the game will have branching dialogue, with a Telltale or Fallout-like list of response options.
The branching dialogue is a twist for, what has been until now, a highly scripted series. Allowing players to pick dialogue options, even if it doesn’t significantly change the overall story, gives the game’s cutscenes a more participatory nature.
Because the game’s launch is imminent, Sony has been taking any opportunity to show off more of the game. We got a look at one of the game’s villainesses a few days ago at The Game Awards. Sony has also talked about microtransactions in the game’s multiplayer.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End releases on March 18, 2016 for PlayStation 4.
