Epic Games has released a teaser trailer for a new Paragon hero character named Grux. The video shows the character model at different angles. He or she appears to have tough, scaly skin, spikes protruding from his neck and back, and what appears to be war paint on his shoulders. His weapon appears to be a long, curved sword. The video reminds us that he is an actual in-game playable hero.
The video joins other teasers for the characters Dekker, Sparrow, Steel, and Twinblast, all of which can be seen on the game’s official YouTube channel. A statement from Epic games says the company will have more information both about the hero and about the game in the coming weeks. The game is expected to release in 2016.
This game is the latest announcement from a studio that previously worked on the original Unreal Tournament, Fortnite, and Gears of War. At the time of the game’ soriginal announcement, Epic Games also said that they would reveal a new character once a week through December 3, marking this as the last video. The developer is also working on a new Unreal Tournament and on finishing Fortnite, so it appears they are busy. Each hero in the game will apparently have unique combat abilities based on what players choose to fight for: glory, pride, fortune, or infamy. Players who are interested in signing up for Paragon’s beta can do so at the game’s official website.
Paragon is expected to release sometime in 2016 for PC.
