DiRT Rally has been rated for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This rating comes straight out of Taiwan, and follows a listing last week for a physical release on Amazon Germany.
The rally racer originally released on Steam Early Access last April 27. Of course, the game has yet to leave Early Access, but has had enough feedback and development put into it that it would be ready for retail release, or at least getting there.
Developer Codemasters has not been slack in releasing games for all active platforms, including Wii U, PlayStation 3 and Xbox One. Thus far, their only notable racer on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has been F1 2015, although they also worked on Overlord: Fellowship of Evil.
Codemasters’ ability to bring DiRT Rally to eight generation consoles should not be in doubt, but the evidence seems to indicate they needed this long to prepare the game for retail release.
