Shirley Curry, better known across the world as the Skyrim Grandma, has some thoughts about whatever’s going on with The Elder Scrolls 6. Her main message, however, is that she wants the team at Bethesda to release the game sooner rather than later.
Curry, who’s 86 and a much-loved Skyrim player on PC, has her own YouTube channel with over a million subscribers tuning in to her Skyrim playthrough content. She was recently given her very own Q&A event at April’s PAX East, which speaks volumes as to her popularity and the high regard she’s held in by many of the gaming and particularly the Elder Scrolls community.
In the Q&A session, she remarked that she’d love to be able to play The Elder Scrolls 6 before she dies, adding that if she ever had the chance to meet Todd Howard, she would ask him to “hurry up and finish making Skyrim 6.”
Aside from the fact that we may just start referring to it as “Skyrim 6″ from now on, the internet’s favorite grandmother isn’t alone in wishing for further developments (or even just some news) on The Elder Scrolls 6. Although Todd Howard and Bethesda are obviously very preoccupied with Starfield’s upcoming release right now, it would be great if players hungry for some insight into The Elder Scrolls 6 could have something to hold onto while they wait for the game to go into full production.
The Elder Scrolls 6 will be the next game after Starfield, as was confirmed by Howard in an interview with IGN earlier this week. Following that will be Fallout 5, but when exactly we can expect either of these games to be released is anyone’s guess at this point. Either way, we hope that Skyrim Grandma Shirley is still around and ready to steal some brand new sweet rolls whenever that time eventually does come.
