Rainbow Six Siege Open Beta Delayed Due to ‘Issues on All Platforms’

November 25, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Matchmaking times and disconnection problems reported on all systems.

The open beta for Ubisoft's Rainbow Six: Siege, which had been due to launch today, has been delayed.

Prior warning was given mere hours before the test was expected to launch. On Ubisoft's forums community manager Jax explained, "We're currently seeing issues with matchmaking times and disconnection on all platforms.

"As such we're postponing the Open Beta until a later time and keeping the game under Closed Beta status. We apologise for the delay and can assure you this is our top priority. We will keep everyone updated regularly as we continue to deploy improvements."

The open beta was set to feature the Kanal, Hereford, and House maps, as well as three game modes. Two of these, Bomb and Secure Area, are PvP modes while the third, Disarm Bomb, is a PvE mode in which 1-5 players work to take on a terrorist cell.

Rainbow Six: Siege is set to release next Tuesday, December 1st on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game was due to release in October before being pushed back due to fan feedback.
