Bethesda has updated Fallout Shelter to reflect the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S. later this week. Hoping to brighten the lives of underground vault dwellers everywhere with some Thanksgiving cheer, the update brings a good amount of Thanksgiving-themed content into the game. Some of the changes include dwellers wearing Thanksgiving pilgrim outfits, turkey dishes on dinner tables, and other festive autumn decorations. The company announced the update via Twitter yesterday.
Last month, the game was updated around Halloween time to inject more spookiness into vault dwellers’ lives everywhere. A couple weeks prior to that, the developer introduced significant changes to the game, including a brand new survival mode. While it was initially viewed as a marketing tool for Fallout 4, the game has stood well on its own, and these updates are evidence that Bethesda takes it seriously. These two prior updates suggest that we will get an end-of-the-year, holiday themed update sometime next month.
Fallout Shelter is available on Android’s Google Play Store and the App Store on iOS.
