Minecraft: Redstone Finally Charging Up On Minecraft Pocket And Windows 10 Editions

November 21, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

This update also comes with bunnies, desert temples, and wooden doors.

Mojang has revealed a breakthrough change for the Pocket and Windows 10 versions of Minecraft: redstone is finally being added in with the next update.

As many fans already know, redstone is a vital resource, allowing players to power automated doors and vehicles. This change brings the Pocket and Windows 10 editions of the game closer in line to the original Java version. Considering that the Windows 10 version is the one to get VR support, by way of Hololens, Oculus Rift, and ever GearVR, it’s important for Mojang to get this done as quickly and perfectly as possible.

This update also comes with bunnies, desert temples, and wooden doors. You can read the full changelog below.

New Features

  • Redstone Circuits: Redstone Wire, Torch, Lamp, Levers, Buttons, Pressure plates, Tripwires, Trapped Chests and Detector Rails. Craft them all!
  • Cute, fluffy, crop-eating, bunnies
  • Desert temples
  • New types of wooden doors

Removed Features

  • Stonecutter (RIP)
  • Herobrine (RIP)

  • Redstone can be used to control doors, trapdoors, TNT and rails
  • Faster boats with improved handling

  • Hunger restored by food items now match the PC version
  • Flowers created by using Bone Meal on Grass now depend on the biome

  • Minecarts now stack on top of each other
