There’s a new expansion out for Jurassic World Evolution 2 and it’s bringing a wealth of brand new movie-inspired content to your dinosaur park-building adventures. Frontier Developments have today dropped the Dominion Biosyn Expansion, which is a brand new update that coincides with the release of Jurassic World: Dominion in cinemas.
The expansion adds a new narrative campaign into the game and is intended to build upon the story told in the Jurassic World: Dominion movie itself. Hardcore fans of the franchise will also be pleased to discover that the voice talents of Jurassic Park actors Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Bryce Dallas Howard are also featured in the Dominion Biosyn Expansion.
You can check out the launch trailer for the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion below to get a feel for the film-inspired additions to the base game.
The new content includes the opportunity to oversee the building of a new Biosyn Genetics facility in a stunningly designed valley environment, which is also packed full of movie-inspired Biosyn-inspired buildings, for that extra immersive effect.
Of course, no DLC for a Jurassic Park title would be complete without new dinosaurs. This latest update introduces the frankly terrifying-looking Pyroraptor, as well as massively intimidating-for-a-vegetarian Therizinosaurus. Players will also get to meet the super ancient carnivore Dimetrodon and the Quetzalcoatlus, known for being one of the biggest flying creatures ever to exist and definitely not the kind of bird you want swooping in to steal your sandwich.
The expansion also introduces a new game mode on top of the base game. ‘Chaos Theory’ will see players working through a new ‘what if’ scenario based upon the events of the Dominion movie, and will take them off to Owen Grady’s Sierra Nevada ranch to try and round up a load of escaped dinosaurs. As you would.
Jurassic World Evolution 2: Dominion Biosyn Expansion is out now on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via the Epic Games Store, Windows Store, and Steam.
