The same batch of rumors that brought us rumblings of Fable 4, Forza 5, and a new mature game from Rare have hinted at two new potential next-gen titles: Alan Wake 2 and Saints Row 4.
Job listings from Alan Wake developer Remedy had recently implied a sequel was on the way, but the company has remained relatively quiet about the project. The latest issue of Xbox World magazine suggests that their silence is because the game will be coming to Microsoft's unnanounced successor to the Xbox 360.
The mag also reports that Volition and THQ are prepping for work on another installment of their goofy, open-world Saints Row franchise. With the studio still hard at work finishing next month's Saints Row the Third, the timetable for any follow-up dovetails nicely with the next generation of consoles.
Of course, much of this is whispers and speculation at this stage, but Volition and Remedy have partnered closely with Microsoft in the past. Both Alan Wake and the first Saints Row title were 360 exclusives that were in development since long before the console had been publically announced.
As previously reported, Microsoft is widely expected to reveal the next Xbox at E3 2012, with a possible launch sometime in 2013.
