After fans demonstrated overwhelming interested in an online poll, Square Exnix has decided to include moogles in Final Fantasy XV. The game’s Director, Hajime Tabata, announced via Twitter that the fan-favorite creatures will be included in a “fun little way.” While Tabata said that she won’t be shifting priorities to fit them in, she will make sure they are incorporated in a suitable way.
Hi Tabata here. Congrats Moogle! I’d like to thank everyone that voted. I will think of a fun little way to feature Moogles in #FFXV (1/3)

Importantly, at this stage of development I will not be making a trade off with the other work remaining in order to fit them in. (2/3)

So it won’t be a very chatty Moogle, but will be done with a suitably light level of development work as a fun little #FFXV extra. (3/3)

As of now, it seems the polls will not have major effects on the game’s development. This does, however, show that Square Enix is listening to fans and adjusting to their feedback, even in small ways.
The developer recently announced the first female Eidolon, along with the news that the game will no longer have any connection to the Fabula Nova Crystallis. It will be considered separate cannon. They have also said that the Regalia will serve as a physical metaphor for Noctis’ father’s love for him. Mechanically, the player will be able to change the point of view while riding the Regalia. It will also be able to be serviced, and the gas that fuels it is a finite resource in the game.
Final Fantasy XV will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. More release details will be available in March.
