As all eyes are turned towards the Summer Games Fest and the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Activision Blizzard quietly opened the pre-registration for the beta of Diablo 4. Players can pre-register to join the beta on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X/S.
Activision Blizzard opened the pre-registration for the beta of Diablo 4 without any official announcement. At the time of this writing, the company’s social media channels are silent and didn’t communicate about the beta. Another major surprise is that Diablo 4 is now confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game will not only be available through Blizzard’s Battle.Net launcher on PC.
Diablo 4 was first announced in 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Since then, the last-gen versions seem to disappear in favor of the current-gen consoles. Microsoft purchased Activision Blizzard earlier this year, so Diablo 4 may be the last installment in the series to come out on PlayStation.
This new game will feature a shared open-world that will only be available online – meaning you cannot play Diablo 4 offline. The world of Sanctuary is full of monsters to slay, dungeons to explore, and mysteries to unveil.
So far, Activision Blizzard only revealed four classes in Diablo 4: Barbarian, Druid, Rogue, and Sorcerer. More classes could be available upon the game’s release. The company didn’t announce any starting date for the beta, so don’t expect a full release date for the game any time soon.
We should have more information about the beta of Diablo 4 in the upcoming days. As Diablo 4 is now a property of Microsoft, the company could reveal more about the game during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase.
