Codex Worlds has launched a free open beta for their debut game, the Kickstarter funded Infinium Strike, which can be downloaded from Steam.
Players will have access to a tutorial and the first missions from the game's campaign. The strategy action game is set in the far future and sees players take on the role of a weapons officer aboard the battlecarrier Freedom Strike, the only human ship made out of the rare element infinium.
Surrounded by sentient alien ships known as the Wrog, players must build and tactically position customised turrets, dispatch fleets of specialised fighting vessels, and use 'SuperTech' weapons to save humanity.
Infinium Strike will be on Steam and The Humble Store in early 2016 for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
