Halo 5 Casual Apparel and Accessories Range Launched

November 4, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Even Spartans get out of their armour eventually.

A new range of Halo-themed clothing and accessories has been released by German designer label Musterbrand, with the goods being available from online retailers including GameStop, Amazon, and ThinkGeek.

The new designs were inspired by Microsoft's flagship franchise and include unique styling and accents meant to evoke images of the series. Don't expect a full set of Mjolnir armour though, the concept for the range is what Spartans might wear when they're not on duty.

"Halo's iconic art-direction inspired us to incorporate its distinctive shape language and color pallets into the Halo Collection's contemporary looks," Knut Bergel, Musterbrand's founder, commented. "From the Spartan armor stitching on the Spartan Jacket, to the hood of the Flight Deck Officers Jacket which is styled after the Spartan helmet, each piece feels both authentic and new."

Each item has bee specifically designed for the new collection and choices include the likes of Flight Deck Officer, Outpost, Spartan Jackets, the Workout Sweater, the Catapult Jersey, the Top Loader Bag, and the Protector Tube Scarf.

"We love working with creators across mediums and consider clothing design to be a fun and unique avenue for telling story. Musterbrand has done a masterful job of expressing the visual design of the Halo universe in a genuinely cool and exciting way, they also allowed our story to live outside of our games, and our players to live inside the universe in a way that expresses subtle affiliation in a fashionable and current way," 343 Industries' Kiki Wolfkill commented.

Microsoft today announced that the release of Halo 5: Guardians last week was the biggest in the history of the series.
