Halo 5 Guardians is doing mostly well in reviews, with many outlets rating it perfect or very high scores. This critical reception is not universal, because the story campaign fails to hold up to the hype. With this in mind, 343 still managed to polish the multiplayer segment.
It is worth noting some outlets chose not to release final review scores pending the game’s release tomorrow, on October 27. The concern here seems to stem from 343’s last project: Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and its poorly performing online component. 343 and Microsoft must hope those review scores hold up when the game goes live.
