The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase will be taking place this Sunday and it will last for roughly 90 minutes. We’re expecting to see updates to some already announced Xbox and Bethesda games, third-party titles, as well as some unexpected game reveals. However, fans who thought that this showcase would be the end of Xbox’s plans for June were mistaken.
Xbox has now revealed that it will be hosting an Xbox Games Showcase Extended presentation just a few days later on June 14th. From the Xbox website, the company states, “Stay tuned for the Xbox Games Showcase Extended on June 14th at 10 am PT where we will share new trailers, take deeper looks at the news from the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, and speak with some of your favorite game creators. This all-new broadcast is approximately 90 minutes in length and will be broadcast live in English, Latin America Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German and French, and the additional languages we offer will be available within a week. Audio Descriptions and American Sign Language will be offered live.”
It’s important to note that Xbox did this last year as well. Last year’s Xbox Games Showcase Extended gave viewers a deeper look at Forza Horizon 5, Psychonauts 2, and the Xbox Design Lab controllers, among other things. If this year’s Extended showcase follows the same pattern, it’s likely that we could see some developer interviews and gameplay footage that was not shown during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.
Given that Xbox Game Pass has played a role in most Xbox presentations recently, it would be safe to expect that we will also see some newly announced games coming to the service across Xbox consoles, PC, and Cloud.
The Xbox and Bethesda Games showcase will take place on Sunday, June 12th at 10 AM Pacific Time. The Xbox Games Showcase Extended presentation will take place on Tuesday, June 14th at 10 AM Pacific Time.
