Halo 5: Guardians is not coming to PC after all, Microsoft has clarified following recent statements which suggested the game could come to the platform.
Asked about claims that the game was PC-bound, Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg tweeted:
@RMDXBOX This is not true. Game is being made exclusively for Xbox One.

Greenberg's comments follow those made by Frank O'Connor of Halo 5 developer 343 Industries, who told GamesRader "there's plenty of chance" the game could come to PC and "It wouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff."
The game itself sees Master Chief branded a traitor by the UNSC and publicly declared dead, when in reality he's actively being pursued by Spartan Locke and Fireteam Osiris. Chief isn't alone however, he has the support of the Spartans of Blue Team and 343 Industries is placing a heavy emphasis on online co-op. Controversially, the game is dropping the series' ever-popular local co-op. The developer has said they would add it "if we could" but doing so would be "nontrivial".
Halo 5: Guardians launches Tuesday, October 27th for Xbox One, you can watch the game's launch trailer here.
