Sony has confirmed 500GB PlayStation 4 systems will be available in Europe from today for €349.99, a €50 reduction.
The platform holder made the announcement on the PlayStation Blog and it comes just days after retailer listings and point-of-sale materials suggested Europe would follow recent cuts seen in North America and Japan.
According to the Blog, the new RRP for various countries is as follows:
- Benelux, France, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain €349.99
- Australia $479.95
- New Zealand $569.95
- UK £299.99
- Austria and Germany €349.95
- United Arab Emirates AED1399
Sony says the price cut is not limited to these countries.
It's a busy time for the platform holder, which will be hosting a press conference to mark Paris Games Week on Tuesday, October 27th.
