A Pikachu stuffed animal will be coming to Build-A-Bear Workshop in North America, Europe, Australia, and online thanks to a partnership between The Pokemon Company and the internationally popular stuffed animal store.
Unfortunately for holiday shoppers, the Pikachu stuffed animal will not be available until next year. However, consumers will be able to customize their Pikachu with an optional Poke Ball hoddie, a Charizard costume, and a sound chip that will likely play the noises a Pikachu is known to make, like “pika pika.” According to Serebii.net, the Charizard costume will only be available online. Additionally, buying a Pikachu will also grant the buyer a unique Pokemon trading card for free. No word on what this card will be of, but it stands to reason that it will be Pikachu.
Neither pricing details nor images were released in this initial announcement.
In Pokemon video game news, The Pokemon Company recently announced Pokemon Go, an augmented reality Pokemon game for smartphones that uses the phone’s camera to reveal Pokemon located in the real world. Nintendo also announced that Pokken Tournament (from which the above image is taken), a Tekken-style Pokemon fighting game previously exclusive to Japanese arcades, will be coming to Wii U in spring 2016.
