Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet To Launch November 18th

June 1, 2022 by Alexandra Nicholson

The brand new trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet just dropped and it reveals quite a lot of new information about the upcoming games. Most importantly, the trailer has finally shared the games’ reveal date, and Pokémon trainers can look forward to getting their hands on Scarlet and Violet on November 18th. Digital pre-orders for both games will be available from today over on the Nintendo eShop.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will introduce two new Legendary Pokémon in the form of monsters Koraidon and Miraidon, and are also the first open-world RPGs in the Pokémon franchise. It looks like there will be a variety of different biomes for players to adventure through, from what’s shown in the new trailer. The games will both also allow exploration of the games’ various open-world environments solo or with up to four players in multiplayer mode. You can check out the trailer in full right here to get a first look at the new games.

The trailer reveals two professors; Professor Sada, who features in Pokémon Scarlet and Professor Turo, who players will meet in Pokémon Violet. Of course, a whole roster of other new characters are revealed in the clip, not least of all the extremely notable Lechonk, an actual chonk of a Hog Pokémon, who appears to be setting Twitter on fire right now.
