Fallout Shelter Update Adds Fallout 4’s Piper, Cloud Saves, Survival Mode

October 16, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Raiders can now be looted too.

Bethesda has released a update 1.2 for Fallout Shelter, which adds a number of new features to the game.

Likely the most significant change is the addition of cloud support, which allows users to upload their Vaults to the cloud and continue playing on other devices. Another addition is Survival Difficulty, which makes the game more challenging.

Five free lunchboxes are available, along with a legendary new dweller, Piper from Fallout 4. It also seems the Mysterious Stranger may be lurking about the Vault, finding him will net you a bottle cap bonus, and, for those in need of new gear, Raiders are now lootable.

Fallout Shelter was announced at E3 and initially launched for iOS devices before coming to Android. An earlier update added Mr. Handy and other features.

Fallout 4 is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 10th.
