The games rumoured to be on June’s PS+ lineup include God of War, Naruto Boruto: Shinobi Striker and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. That’s according to the latest leak from Spanish source Areajugones, which claims to have gathered the information directly from a source at PS+. While the authenticity of this source is unclear, many users online are considering the information to be credible, not least because Areajugones’ previous months’ lineup suggestions have been correct ahead of the games’ official reveals.
Perhaps most interesting is the reported inclusion of God of War in the upcoming June PS+ lineup. As many in the PlayStation community are speculating, this could be to do with PlayStation and Sony Santa Monica starting to crank up the marketing hype ahead of news on the upcoming God of War: Ragnarok, which is probably one of the year’s most anticipated releases. While still slated for a 2022 release, things have been pretty quiet on the updates front, so it’s entirely possible that God of War may make an appearance on next month’s PS+ lineup in order to get the community ready for some new updates on God of War: Ragnarok.
If the rumours prove to be correct, it means that all PS+ subscribers will be able to play God of War, Naruto Boruto: Shinobi Striker and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl throughout the month of June. Specifically, the games will be revealed officially on June 1st and then available for play from June 7th to July 5th. At the moment God of War is only available on PS+ for PS5 players, so if this is the case the game will become playable for those on PS4 who’ve never played it – provided they’re subscribers to PS+, of course.
Meanwhile, new information suggests that we could be seeing the release of God of War: Ragnarok in the next few months. Looks like we’ll have to watch this space, as well as the official PS+ lineup announcement.
