Destiny Item Manager Now Lets You Calculate Infusion

October 9, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

This web app for Destiny will allow you to manage your inventory and also do the math on the items you plan to infuse.

Infusing items in Destiny: The Taken King is a process that can be slightly confusing for players. It can be hard to determine what the final light level on an item will be when you infuse it with something else, making it something of a crapshoot.

To that end, a Destiny player named Luke_fx has created a web app that calculates the entire process for you, so you'll have an exact idea of what to infuse your weapons and armor with. The app is implemented into another fan-created app called the Destiny Item Manager, which shows a full page view of all the items in your account and allows you to drag and drop items. The app lets you move items across characters in your account and provide you with set loadouts.

The Infusion Calculator is the latest addition to the Destiny Item Manager, detecting all the items that can be infused into whatever piece of gear you select.

You just need to tap your item of choice and the calculator will provide you with an approximate light level, allowing you to fully determine your upgrade path when deciding what to infuse. It'll save you the trouble of wasting items, Exotic Shards, and Legendary Marks.

At the moment, the calculator only shows possible infusible items on the character the calculator was opened on, but an update is currently in the works to provide vault and cross-character functionality.

There's a subreddit dedicated to the Destiny Item Manager should you decide to follow its updates.

You can download the Destiny Item Manager through the Chrome Webstore.
