Still salty Sony and Microsoft didn’t add compatibility with your Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 arcade joysticks and racing wheels to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One? There may finally be a solution within your grasp.
Japanese peripherals company Cyber Gadget has revealed a new universal controller adapter for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
For 8,500 yen, or $ 70, you can connect a Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, USB PlayStation 2, or any USB controller, to connect to the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. The adapter is a wee little device at 22 grams and 13.6 cm long, with a 7 cm cable.
It won’t connect via Bluetooth, so this is the reason the Wii U Pro Controller isn’t included, but of course if you have it, you can try connecting a Pro Controller using its own USB adapter.
In any case, this is more likely most useful to folks who had 7th generation peripherals like racing wheels and arcade sticks. Fighting games in particular enjoyed a resurgence in the last generation thanks to Street Fighter 4, and many core fighting game fans were left saddled with incompatible PS3 and Xbox 360 sticks.
If you’re one of those folks, you can import yours from Cyber Gadget here. They will start shipping October 12.
